Hi,

We live on Mark Road and are looking to replace our front door. We have found a document from the council which gives information on what we need for our door (see attached). We are wondering a few things - can anyone help, please?

-How strict are the council with these requirements when applying for planning permission?

-We noticed there are some relatively new PVC doors around Noel Park - are the council not as strict as they seem?

The 1st floor façade of our house has a rough cast render that has been painted white. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, everyone:

We are slowing building up a list of a few things we need doing to our Noel Park house but have not had any good experiences with builders as yet.

We're looking for a builder who has done work in the Noel Park area, i.e. they understand how to work sympathetically to the Noel Park house style and heritage. We have a few jobs both inside and out that need someone who doesn't want to modernise everything!

Any and all recommendations gratefully…

Hello, I would like to put a period fireplace back into the living room of our house where currently we have a hole left from the removal of a back boiler. I wondered if anyone had done something similar or indeed still has the original fireplace that I could take a look at? Thanks, Lucy

Does anyone else have a problem with industrial / commercial rat-runners in their heavy trucks, lorries, buses, vans driving down the quiet residential streets of Noel Park?

Moselle Avenue seems to suffer greatly due to it's proximity and easy access from Lordship Lane. The rat-run is even suggested by google maps!

Our dear house shudders and jolts as a direct result of a non-stop HGV going by and says help me!

Dear friends of Noel Park,

I'm sorry to report ANOTHER planning violation. Over the weekend the original windows at 43 Russell Avenue were crudely ripped out and replace with ugly, unsuitable PVC windows.

This is such a shame when the council has done such a good job in replacing all of the windows in council-owned properties on the street with sensitively-designed replacements.
