Hi all,

I own a leasehold 1st floor flat on Gladstone avenue and we are looking to use our loft space for light storage (not full loft conversion). I suspect our lease doesn't actually contain the loft though we are the only ones with access to it. I was wondering if anyone here was in this situation and had obtained the demise of the lease for the loft space, and if so, if you could share your experience?

Thanks a lot!

"The owners of long-term empty homes in Haringey will be forced to pay double their Council Tax to help tackle the housing crisis."

In theory, this could be a good thing - 1,000 empty, abandoned homes turned into housing for residents, but considering Haringey's track record of letting things slide, I wonder how efficiently it's going to be enforced.

Noticed this in the latest version of Haringey People.

The deplorable condition many private renters live under in Noel Park suggests quite strongly that this licensing is not being enforced in Noel Park.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

My partner and I are looking to buy a 3 bed house in and around the Noel Park neighbourhood. We were wondering how easily you can hear noise through the party walls. Is there good sound proofing between terrace houses?

Thanks,

Unfortunately, the council contact help line is a little backed up due to covid so, I thought I would put it in the discussion group.

Question:

Does anyone know if you bought a house on Gladstone avenue that had a second floor already (i.e. a loft floor), could you do a loft conversion in the back of the house without getting into conservation issues (not changing the front obviously)? If I could do a loft extension in the back then it's perfect, otherwise just a little tight for her family.

I read there were some strict rules but could not get clarity on my google search (thus the chat board reach out:) If I can do it, then the purchase decision would be a lot easier.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
New homes to be built in Noel Parktag:noelparknet.ning.com,2020-11-22:6570429:Topic:798442020-11-22T20:46:22.506ZRachella Sinclairhttps://noelparknet.ning.com/profile/1sq4mx8wfoki4
