Don't forget our zero waste market TOMORROW at Heartlands High School N22, 11am-3:30pm. We have local people - YOUR NEIGHBOURS - selling their locally grown produce, homemade foods and handmade crafts. We also have other local small businesses selling their products such as vintage clothes and vinyl records and even a massage therapist. We are new and need all the support that we can get. We also have a FREE Zumba class at 12pm (no need to book, just show up)! Please, come support…

I collect from Benito bakery on the high road for Olio- the app developed to stop food waste. I’ve noticed that most people who pick up from me come quite a distance and, therefore, take some time to pick up the food.

I have an allotment and need some garden waste to store until it turns into compost. As you all know our council is not collecting the garden waste for free any more but I would be happy to take some of yours. So save your trip to the recycling centre and contact me. I live in Noel Park.

I'm not a fan of many of this government's policies but compulsory micro-chipping and dog turd testing to chase up miserable dog owners who don't clean up after their pets has my vote.
Lately the pavements have been strewn with dog poo more frequently than the norm. If in front of my house I would clean it to stop it being spread around like jam by passers by. The Council's street cleaners now avoid it like the plague and their mobile street cleaning vehicles seem unable to pick it up (but they do run over it sometimes).

Let's face it. A dog owner can give their dog all the love but if they can't clean up after it they have NO BUSINESS OWNING AN ANIMAL. They should be caught, fined and if they reoffend, the dog taken away and the owner made to pay for its care until the animal is rehomed with a decent owner who knows how to treat it well and their surrounding neighbours with some respect.

Our neighbourhood is not a dog toilet. Treating it as such is the equivalent of sticking their fingers up at the rest of us.

I hope the Council and police take up the new technology and measures at their disposal and catch these people!!!
