Did you know that Bruce Castle is one of the oldest brick buildings in England?

I knew it was old, dating back to King Henry the VIII, but didn't realise the significance until reading the following article. 

I used to be called Lordship Manor and was built on the site of a Medieval building that was demolished when the crown took back the land after its owner, Leonard the Bruce left England to become king of Scotland.
