Are you a passionate Website Content Coordinator who is keen to develop your skills and experience in design and content?

Are you also passionate about parks and community empowerment?

parkscommunityuk is a Project funded by NESTA until August 2020 through the Rethinking Parks programme whose purpose is to support the development of:
“Community Empowerment and Co-Management in Greenspace” by Friends of Parks groups

The Project is being managed by the Friends of Lordship Rec based in Tottenham who worked in close partnership with Haringey Council to achieve the £8m regeneration of Lordship Rec in 2012

A key output for the Project is the development of a website that we want to make into the platform of the Friends Groups movement to share learning, wisdom and experience and to celebrate the achievements of groups across the UK.

We are seeking to engage an independent, self employed consultant as a Website Coordinator.

Your main roles will be to:

provide specialist dedicated support for the recently established https://parkscommunity.org.uk/ website in order to:
Source and develop high quality content such as on-line tools, case studies, videos and other learning resources
Develop the website with Friends groups as a tool for peer learning
Ensure the site is relevant and attractive for users
Ensure the site is working properly
Capture and report usage statistics
Use social media to promote and develop the site
The person we are seeking will:
Like parks
Be committed to community empowerment
Have experience in the coordination of websites and be very keen to develop this experience further
have a solid background of content creation
Have great team working and communication skills
Be experienced in the use of social media
Be able to work independently on own initiative

We can offer

An average of 10 hours per week that can be worked flexibly

Pay of £15 PH gross which is in line with rates for all workers at Lordship Hub, our Community Cooperative in the middle of the Park
Travel expenses can also be paid where appropriate.

You will be engaged on a self-employed basis and be responsible for your own tax, national insurance and pension contributions.

The role is offered in the first instance up to the end of August 2020 and your further engagement will be dependent upon the project securing further funding.
