This article was a bit depressing. What depresses me was expressed by the author - the demolition of Wards Corner and the knee jerk reaction with the artists live-work spaces. Many areas, such as Brixton are much more creative in their response to regeneration. We've seen over and over that slash and burn doesn't work. If there's a strong community, such as the artists and the Latin community why not support them in a way that can help these communities grow organically for the benefit of all.

interesting article thanks Teddy, I particularly liked the comment on "brightly coloured panelling as stick on optimism" most succinct.
