If I were asked to write about the place where I live – which is Noel Park (Morley Avenue to be precise) – this is what I would write.

There are quite a few things I like doing in Noel Park – three of them I do in the row of shops on Lordship Lane that start roughly at the top end of Morley. These are, in no particular order: buying ‘pasteis de nata’ (custard tarts) from the Portuguese cafe; getting my eyes tested and ordering my new specs at Alan Ray opticians – because you get…
