You'll be seeing a lot more cyclists riding around Noel Park

Noel Park Big Local has partnered with Wood Green social enterprise Bikes For Good Causes to provide free bicycles to paid carers, schools workers and NHS employees. People who join the programme will also get essential accessories, such as a helmet and a lock.

This is our way of helping our neighbours in these essential frontline professions to safely travel to work during these uncertain times of pandemic. “This project came from my personal experience as a healthcare worker, travelling to and from work,” says Charmaine Smith, Noel Park Big Local Partnership member and lead for the Wheels for Workers project. “You need to get to work but also want to protect your family as well as clients and people we’re working with from the additional exposure of traveling on the bus.”
